This printable Murakami flower template gives students a simple step-by-step visual guide for drawing the flower shape used in the project. The four stages show students how to begin with the center circle and guideline, add the lines for the petals, and then complete the full flower.

The printout is meant to be kept at students’ desks as a visual reference while they draw their own Murakami-inspired flower composition. Students are not meant to draw or paint directly on the template. Instead, they look at this template while creating their own drawing.

I do this project with all of my 1st through 5th grade students. This project is also perfect for middle school, high school, and adults.
