I find that students are much more successful with their drawings when they can keep a printed copy of the reference templates at their desks and look at them while they work. These pages help students get the overall structure and composition onto their paper while still leaving plenty of room for creativity and individual details.

I use this project with my 1st through 5th grade students, and it also works well for middle school, high school, and adults.
