This printable Fauvist Landscape Template gives students a clear visual reference for creating a landscape inspired by Jean Metzinger and Fauvist-style color and design.

The printout is meant to be kept at students’ desks as a visual reference while they draw their own composition. Students are not meant to draw or paint directly on the template. Instead, they can look at the large shapes, overlapping forms, and simplified landscape structure as they build their own drawing.

The template is especially helpful for students who benefit from having the main composition broken down into clear, easy-to-see shapes before they begin adding color and details.

I do this project with all of my 1st through 5th grade students. This project is also perfect for middle school, high school, and adults.
