This printable Egyptian Crown & Headdress Template set includes four different reference pages, each featuring a different ancient Egyptian crown or headdress:

Nemes
Nefertiti-style crown
Vulture crown
Khapresh

A Hieroglyph Alphabet Chart is also included. Students can keep this chart at their desks and use it as a visual reference while they add hieroglyphs to their artwork or write names, words, and short messages using the symbols.

These printouts are meant to be kept at students’ desks as visual references while they draw their own Egyptian-inspired portraits. Students are not meant to draw or paint directly on the templates. Instead, they can look at the crown and headdress shapes while creating their own composition.

The four different options give students some choice while still helping them get the overall shapes and proportions right.

I do this project with all of my 1st through 5th grade students. This project is also perfect for middle school.
